Granitar decided to realize Christian's idea to enter the
 Microsoft Web Service contest with a solution
that fits Amtraks service offerings. The solution will allow a client to request train schedule and status information,
similar to the functionality that is available on
amtrak.com.
Christian was assigned to the project as the lead architect. He proposed a technical solution based on Apache tools, created the
technical design for the service integration with Amtrak's back-end system and coordinated the implementation.
