In 1987, Christian started developing software projects for Casinos Austria as a freelance consultant. At that time, the company did not have an IT department. During the following 6 years, Christian developed several large applications, two of which were still in use in December 1999, when it was necessary to make some Y2K-related corrections.

During those years, he worked closely with Mr. Paul Herzfeld, who is now chairman of the board and the CEO of Casinos Austria International.
